Hello.

I am a Canadian writer working on a book about the walls of the world and the people who live in their shadows.

I have been enjoying your blog and some of your other work online. I am just outside Melilla right now, and recently visited Ceuta and both sides of the Western Sahara wall. I find your photos and your analysis very inspiring. I just wanted to write and thank you for them.

Best regards,
Marcello

i read about the migrant hunger strike and then went to the slide show.
your work is important.
of course i wish you luck.
speaking for those without voices has to be among the most profound human responsibilities one can take upon one's self.
i shall visit your site from time to time.
i hope that inspiration and support come to you daily in many forms.

We are all just small lives. But getting discouraged or frustrated by that smallness does no good for yourself or anyone else. Probably, bringing people’s stories to the world won’t change anything. But doing nothing definitely won’t. And somewhere between the probably and the definitely is where hope for change can survive.
There’s no way anyone can bring down an unjust system single-handedly. In spite of that, at some point we all have to make a choice between succumbing to apathy or fighting to play some part, however small, in a larger struggle for justice. And I have a lot of respect for the decision you’ve made.
All my love,
Isabel

you have a gift with words, whether expression of love, rage, confusion or sadness-you express your self in those words and with such clarity. i love you and love your humility and especially your honesty with yourself. i missed your birthday, i miss you and i am missing our connection and your gentle presence and gift for comfort, creativity and contemplation. you sound like you're really feeling and being and living and i think that's exactly what and where you should be (doing). sorry for my absence. you cross my thoughts and my heart every day. more to come soon. with all my love for now, lisa.
